Daiwa Baitcasting Reel

Answers

please tell me how to put together a daiwa baitcasting reel together?

i got some free and i toke them apart and cant put them together

Go to http://www.daiwa.com/Reel/, click on "Service" and "Parts Diagram", then type in the model number of the reel. Make sure you have the correct size of screwdriver and wrench so you don't mess up the parts when you put it together, and make sure you have some reel lube for the moving parts.

Or, put the parts in a bag and give them to a friend or a tackle shop and let them handle it.

What is a good baitcasting reel?

I currently have a daiwa baitcasting reel/rod combo I bought from the bass pro shop for $70 a few months ago. I want to upgrade and get a new reel. I wanted to know if anyone has any good opinions on a good baitcast reel. Also, any good advice on a new rod would be good too.

Check into Abu Garcia's Revo series http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-RLCABUGAR.html
The black Max is a good reel for $50
http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/descpageRLCABUGAR-AGBM.html
Diawa also makes a full range of reels
http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-RLCDAIWA.html
Pflueger Reels are also good for what you are looking for
http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-RLCPFLUEGER.html
Pflueger Purist Casting Reel 8 Bearing $80

Or just go here http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/
They are much better to deal with than BPS (bass pro shops)
Also look at what Cablea's carries.

Here are the reels Cabela's has in their bargain cave

Not going to get into what I own and use would take up this whole page :))

Forgive me for being so stupid but I need some knot tying advice for a Daiwa 47H Reel?

I feel stupid asking this and I know I should. On the Spools of the larger big water Daiwa Baitcasting reels their is a nib on the spool. What is the nib for? How should I tie the line to the spool, what is the best knot? I want the reel setup to catch 6 foot sturgeons.
I know what an Arbor knot is but it just doesn't seem very strong.

Arbor knot is fine. If you get spooled by the fish its not going to matter much what kind of knot you used to tie onto the reel. If you find that the knot you used slips, take it off and tie the opposite way. It will lock up then. Unless your using braided line it has a tendency to slip any way you tie it. When using braid on my baitcasters I use a mono or flourocarbon backing to keep the slippage from happening then tie on the braid, then add a flouro leader.

What is the best Baitcasting Rod and Reel Combo under $70?

I was thinking of the Daiwa baitcasting combo thats priced at $60. It was given alot of good reviews on BassPro.com. If this really is a pretty good combo to buy, is there any place that sells it besides online at basspro.com? Any and all suggestions and recommendations on a baitcasting rod and reel in the price range please.

If your talking about the Daiwa Procaster, you are getting a good deal. It is a solid reel for the money. When I purchased my first baitcaster, I got a crappy combo, and regretted it later. If I was you, I would get the procaster. Daiwa is a good company, and will help you with any problems you may have with the reel. If this is your first baitcasting rig, keep with it, you will get the "educated thumb" after alot of practice. Even the pros get bird nests sometimes, they just don't show them on TV. You could also try Cabelas.com for a similar deal, or Extreme lures.com Have fun and tight lines.

iam looking for a baitcasting reel good for trout fishing of even snapper blues for fishing off the dock?

i want a rod like this Daiwa Coastal Inshore Baitcasting Fishing Reels but alot cheeper

Go with the Diawa they are worth the money the only other thing I would consider would be a Shimano.
