Filling a micro fishing reel with 50lb spiderwire?

Heyy so I have this shakespeare micro-spinning rod and reel. I was wondering if it would still work fine if I filled it with 50 lb spiderwire. The spiderwire is a braided line that is equal to the width of 12 lb mono line.
I already have the 50lb for another reel that I use. Its very thin line. I fish for bass.

I have it on my shakespeare president and it is fine, although I am upgrading it now to firewire as it is coated and does less damage to the top eye.

It's not what they are designed for, but has anyone ever used a Micro Fly Rod/Reel at a UK Trout Fishery?

I have fallen in love with the Micro Rods/Reels at www.jaustinforbes/micro, but I am unsure if they will be fit for purpose on a commercial Trout Fishery. My local fishery is small enough to not worry about distance casting, however I don't know if they'll take the weight of a large stock trout at fisheries such as this. Does anyone have any thoughts/advice?

I wouldn't risk it, the chances of a large stocked trout snapping you rod is very high, plus it would mean that it would eb in-humane on the fish because of the fact that you would have to play it so long because of the problem of snapping your rod, to be honest i think that an owned lake wouldn't allow such a light outfit to be used due to stressing the fish when hooked. If you want to fish light use a six weight rod with a full/very soft action.

why does my zebco 11 micro spincast reel stop the line from going out?

this is my sons reel, and it seems 2 outa 3 times it fails to cast, or when it does cast, the line goes about 20-30 feet and stops, dropping the lure well short of the desired target area. I know, I know, go get a spinner reel, and I have one, but like I said, this is for my 7 year old boy, any suggestions on why it does this? and how I can fix it?

The Zebco 11 is a nice little reel for ultralight fishing, but it has a small spool and limited line capacity. The most likely reasons for your problem are:

(1) Enough line has broken off through use, so that you no longer have sufficient line left to fill the spool. This significantly increases line friction and cuts distance. The 11's spool need to be fairly full to get any casting distance.

(2) You line is old and kinky, hampering free-flow casting ability

(3) You may have filled the spool with too heavy a line, which will cut down casting distance significantly. Heavy line is thicker and stiffer and will not cast well in a small reel such as this. The 11 Micro should be filled with 4# or 6# line maximum.

I have a south bend micro lite rod and reel. When ever i cast the line gets tangled or unspools?

Its been very frusterating i have tried many different brands and it keeps happening. i might get a few casts but the line still comes off the top of the reel it just unspools
I have tried the 8 pound super thin braded and it still happens also when i spool it on i do it real tight . This is the only reel that has ever done this to me

where can i find help for a fishing reel?

I have a shakespeare micro cast reel and need to know how to adjust the catch on it

What "catch"are you trying to adjust? Are you trying to adjust the drag? The drag will either be on the front of the reel or the back. A knob on the back and a dial kind of thing on the front.
This is a spinning reel I hope. Unless it's a spincast reel with a closed face in which case I can't help.
One thing though, if your line isn't wrapping around the spool. Loosen the knot and flip it around as in take it off, flip it and put it back on. If your using mono or flourocarbon line that will lock the knot on the spool.
