I snapped my inner tie rod on my 1990 240sx and can i just replace the inner+outer tie rod or do i have to replace the whole rack and pinion?
If the inner tie rod comes off and there is no damage to the rack you should just be able to change the tie rod.
To keep fishing rods, is round one more efficient than other shapes'? Also, does that round one rotate?
Some round racks rotate and some do not. As for efficiency, depends on how many rods your lookin' at storin', if it be a lot then the round type be the way ta' go. My doctor's office (now closed) used to have one of these. I loved it. It was a magazine rack, but not your typical one. It had a dozen or so wooden rods across the top and each wooden rod held a magazine by drapping the magazine's middle over it. It's hard to explain but surely someone else out there has seen one and knows what I am talking about and hopefully where I can buy one.

I recently hit a really bad pot hole were my rim got twisted, took it to the dealership and they said my tie-rod,ball join, and strut was fine, but I might need a new steering rack. My question wouldn't my tie rod or something else break before my Steering rack would of from hitting the pot hole? please I need advice before spending 1500+ for repairs! btw the car is a 2001 saab 9-5 aero
Sounds like you may be being taken for a ride, Take it to an independent garage, I had a mate who worked for a Saab garage and they were real rip off merchants. The rack should put up with alot more stress than a track rod end.
