When I bought it, it sounded like a good idea. Now I don't know any recipes to make with it.
Coconut Shrimp: Dip shrimp in flower, then one beaten egg, then a mixture of coconut and plain bread crumbs. Fry for about two minutes per side.
Shrimp scampi: In a large pan mix 1 stick of butter, shrimp, small chopped onion and two cloves of chopped garlic. Toss with angel hair pasta. Sprinkle top with fresh basil.
Shrimp Parmesean: Dip shrimp in egg, and then Italian seasoned bread crumbs, fry. Use ziti and combine in a baking pan. Top with cheese and broil for 5 minutes to melt cheese
Grilled Seasoned Shrimp: Cover shrimp with some olive oil, basil, garlic and onion. Grill for about 3 minutes per side. In a pinch I've coated them with Italian salad dressing and it tastes very similar if not better. (It's a flavor nobody can pinpoint, but they all love because it's so different)
Shrimp stuffed mushrooms: Chop up shrimp in food processor. Clean mushrooms and take off stems. Add stems to shrimp. Then mix one egg, a small handful of chopped up TownHouse Crackers and some garlic. Mix all together. Then fill mushroom caps with the mixture, and sprinkle top with parmesan cheese. Cook for half hour or so until mushrooms soften.
Hope some of those help, they are all things of made dozens of times and everyone loves them. Especially the coconut shrimp. I used that for a superbowl party, served with some orange marmalade mixed with a little rum for dipping and people went crazy for it! Keep in mind that if you don't like mushrooms that same stuffing can be used for anything, like a fish or even in small sweet peppers- I've done that before as well. Good luck!
10 MINUTE SHRIMP
1 lb. medium shrimp, pre-cooked, frozen
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon (or more to taste) Old Bay seasoning
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
1 teaspoon chopped garlic or 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Frank's Hot Sauce
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
Do not thaw shrimp. Place shrimp in a microwave-proof bowl (if using fresh garlic, add now) and microwave on high setting for 2-3 minutes or until shrimp are steaming hot. Drain liquid.
While shrimp are hot, add butter, hot sauce, (lemon and parsley, if using) and remaining seasonings. Return to microwave for 10 seconds, or until butter has melted.
Serve over wild rice mix with green side-salad.
Hi-I just thawed out a bag of Colossal shrimp for a bbq tomorrow around 6 PM. I created the marinade and then placed the now thawed shrimp in the Zip Lock marinade bag. As I tossed out the Colossal Shrimp bag I see it states: Marinade shrimp in your favorite marinade for maximum 4 hours.
Is it okay to have this shrimp in a marinade over night? Why do they just want a maximum marinade time of 4 hours? No citrus in marinade but does contain garlic.
I'd take them out of the marinade now and wash them off. Then tomorrow before cooking toss them in the marinade you've saved for a max of four hours then toss in Olive Oil!
Any more in the marinade and they may change the texture and not taste much like shrimp!

It depends on where you want to buy it from...... I buy my shrimp at Giant Eagle and it costs $10.50
it was frozen at the store and I left out one too many by mistake. I don't want to refreeze it, how long will it stay in the fridge? I want to use it in a shrimp sautee on Friday, It will be unfrozen but refrigerated for about a week. Is that too long?
From experience I can tell you refrigerated shrimp gets rather soggy after one day.
If you wait until Friday to serve them they will be unpleasant to the taste and smell.
Better get some new shrimp on Friday morning to play it safe.
Any idea of what I can do with it? Something light and flavorful, not heavy like alfredo sauce...
how about scampi, saute up the shrimp in a garlic butter and add it to your cooked linguine, and toss together.
