What tips do you have for streamlining fishing tackle?
I like fishing but all my tackle always ends up in a mess. What are good ways to make my tackle easy and quick to access and carry around when i'm fishing.
Uhm do you have a decent tackle box, one big enough to fit your essential tackle? I have a smaller tackle box that I take out on trips with me and then I have a huge tackle box that I use to store everything else. You wont be going for all kinds of fish all in one outing, due to what is in season and what you feel like going. So why bring tackle you wont be using? I also have a separate box for my larger lures and plugs, for when I go surf fishing, since I know they will be used only in the surf at certain times of the year.

I want to start a small tackle shop where can I find dealers for fishing tackle?
Where can I find dealers or wholesalers for fishing tackle?
the first thing I would do is go on line and type in fish and tackle wholesale and or manufacturers. This will be a starting point. decide on the brands you wish to support and contact the MFG directly and ask if they sell direct or where the nearest wholesaler to you is located.
Peace

You might find it hard to believe but there are usually over 50,000 listings of tackle on Ebay.com. I have bought lots of stuff there at very good prices. Be sure to ask seller questions before you bid.

is there anyone out there who goes fishing using vintage fishing tackle?
I have just purchased a vintage bakalite centre pin reel which I intend to go fishing with, and I would love to hear from anyone who fishes with similar vintage tackle to ask them how their vintage tackle peforms in a real fishing situation.
Many of us here have used a vintage reel and some use them for reasons besides performance. Vintage reels are solid reels but the fact is that parts are hard to come by. Add to the fact the low gear ratio compared to the ones now, vintage reels just end up on a shelf collecting dust. There's nothing wrong with using a vintage reel for everyday fishing, these reels are what made the reels we use today. If you can find the parts for these vintage reels, by all means fish on. If not, it's best to keep it in working order. ~good luck catchin'.

Where can i buy fishing and tackle supplies in bulk?
My uncle is starting up his own business and needs to buy fishing and tackle supplies in bulk. Is there any websites where i can buy large counts for reasonable prices.
Get a Rep through a distributor.
You can easily become a dealer for Bass Pro/ Cabelas/ Etc, Etc, Etc.
The problem with major tackle distributors?? You have to buy in LARGE quantity's and you must carry a certain AMOUNT to become a dealer.
So if your Uncle is looking to start his company "on a shoe-string" going the major dealer route won't work.
The only other respectable route would be buying off of EBay.
Ebay has occasional deals on tackle that "spank" any dealers prices.......
I'm a dedicated fisherman and purchase quite a bit of tackle online.
This is just a few examples. With a little looking and investigating you could easily stock a store with custom lures and overstocks.
The key to purchasing fishing tackle is knowing the demographics for your area and what types of fishing is the most popular. Once you know what fish is the most popular, (2nd popular, 3rd popular, Etc), you would need to learn about correct lure colors for your region, weights, sizes in reels and rods, Etc.
Selling fishing tackle is like selling shoes or clothing- everyone has a different taste; but there are "basic" designs that will always work.
