Should you cast and retrieve it?

Should you let it float on top of the water and twitch it a few times?

What is the best way to catch fish with it?

Oh yeah, what about colors?
(I fish in a freshwater lake in Kansas).

Practise many varied retrieves with the rapala lures it is was it is a minnow and minnows dont always swim.They dart,flutter and hover so many things!A good way I fish with the floater is to add a smal split shot in front of it about a 12 to 24 inches(just enough weight that it will have a neutral effect to it)!I use this method when I want the lure to just bang the tops of weeds but not dive into them.
Color patterns- blue top /white belly,black top/white belly,black top/gold belly sometimes any one will work good!

Please check the temperature before you go~ over 80 degrees, throw further out into the center. Cooler temps, flip it to the left or right of the bank, following the flow of the water~ Drizzle or a good rain, it's gonna be a hit and miss: Just be sure to use slow, jerking motions on the retrieval, then change up to slow, smooth regular retrivals~ Happy fishin' !

i'm going fishing for smallmouth bass along a dike in the mississippi, in southeastern minnesota. one technique that i've been using has been throwing the original floater from rapala out along the dike, the reeling in swiftly. this technique has worked rather effectively for me, but what are some others i could try?

Try fishing a Texas rigged tube bait or grub in the appropriate color.

Have you ever looked at the sky and focused out at nothing,and have seen those things swimming in your eyes?
when i look at the sky, or just past a light,not looking into it,cause it hurts your eyes. i see little swimming objects,like unto, bacteria in eyes swimming,not to be sick,kinda like sperm cells under a microscope. just an example, don't be sick or will be reported!
just want to know if anyone else noticed this in you eyes,or maybe try to sit back and look just PAST the light, focuse out till you see them swimming, it might be blood in the vessels of the eyes, I DON'T KNOW, THAT'S WHY I'M ASKING,

I've seen ophtamologists and done research but I'm not fully satisfied yet.
Not only I see black and sometimes transparent "floaters" in my vision (usually happens when looking against bright backgrounds) but sometimes I also see bright and sudden flashes of light or this strong yellow or blue streak of light across my vision (left eye generally) and in seconds if becomes transparent but still holding its original color (either yellow or blue) and then it disappears within a few minutes. Any idea what this is, why it happens and what are the optical risks invoved?

Gosh, I'm no doctor, but I used to work for an ophthalmologist and I know I've heard comments that floaters are normal. The flashes and streaks could be a sign of detached retina but I don't know. If the opth. didn't satisfy your questions try another. Good luck and make that call soon.

I've had one floater in my left eye for almost a year now. It started as a small speck, but it gradually got larger but more opaque as time went on. It was annoying for the first couple of months, but it doesn't interfere with my vision, so I've grown to live with it.

Yesterday, I noticed the floater has now split into two different floaters. The original size of the floater has SHRUNK and is now in two, parallel black opaque specs.

Is this something I should be worried about since a "new" floater has appeared? Should I go to the eye doctor? Is there a chance that, since the floater seemed to be breaking up... could it entirely dissapear?

Floaters can be all shapes and sizes.I would not worry about it unless you see flashes of bright lights.If you do, see a doctor immediately
