I have Berkely's 8lb fireline crystal and a 6' 6" ugly stick classic with a Pflueger Supreme 8035MG spinning reel and i will be mainly fishing for largemouth bass and trout.
Well there are countless ways to set up those things. It all just depends on what type of fish, and in what conditions you are fishing. The best I can suggest is to look up the names of different rigs, and how to set them up, you can then cross ref those rigs with what type of fish youa re fishing for. (use google for the cross ref).
Use http://www.anglersresource.org/rigsetup.html for a list of good rigs and how to set them up, and go from there.
I hope this helps

I want to fish for bass, rainbow trout, pickerel, and orther common freshwater fish. I already have an Ugly Stik fishing rod. I want to know what lures, swivels, weights, etc.
Thanks
You need some pliers, scissors, scale and/or tape measurer, an extra spool of line, all that stuff.
You need some size 6 hooks, size 4 hooks, and maybe even some size 8's. I prefer the bait holder type. Aberdeen works too.
For lures i would go for 1/4 oz. beetle spins, Rapala Original Floating Minnows, and maybe some Strike King Mini Spinnerbaits.
Split shots mostly, with a few different 1/16 oz. sliding weights, bobbers, a few packs of barrel swivels.

If you decide you're going to move a turtle, follow this rule: Move it in the same direction it was heading when you found it.Hilton Head Island Packet, SC - Jun 20, 2009
It's a hot time to go after spottails around hereMy terminal tackle consists of a standard bottom rig with sinker, swivel, leader and a 3/0 or 4/0 circle hook. Spottails readily hit artificial plastic grubs and topwater lures, but they are more frequently caught using live or dead bait.Warwick Beacon, RI - Jun 17, 2009
Warwick BeaconNo Fluke: How and where to fish for flukeAttach the teaser leader to the main line with a small three way swivel. The idea is to create action above the main bait that draws the attention of a fluke on the bottom. I often use a buck tail hook and attach a piece of pork rind or squid stip.
