Tandem Hook

Can a Tandem Rig / Gang-Hook Rig be used for two worms?

so my question is. instead of placing two hooks in one worm to suspend it out and present it to the fish, can i insteal have 6 inches in between each hook.. and have an individual worm on each

Yes but the distance is too near if you are fishing for anything more than 2 lb.12 inches is much better when the fish hooked up.The best is to put more worms on the hook like two worms on a same set of ganghooks.

What is meant by bridging when it comes to wireless ranges? Can routers be ran in tandem?

I am attempting to get wireless farther than what the router is putting out, How can I get the signal to go farther than what the N puts out? Wondering if 2 wireless routers can be hooked in tandem in order to reach the location desired.

Yes, that is exactly what bridging does. It allows multiple routers to transmit the same wireless network. To do this you have to place the routers into bridge mode. Do this by entering their settings. If they support it, the settings will be in there.

Fun Fact: The city of Anaheim has a massive Wi-Fi network consisting of hundreds of bridged routers. It covers the entire city.

if i have a vacuum that will lift 150 static inches of water?

and run another identical machine with it in tandem, both hooked to the same hose....do i now have exactly 300 inches of water lift, or is some lost?
or is even some gained?
note:each machine having two motors.

I'm not an engineer nor well educated in this, but here is what I found in Wikipedia.

The lowest pressure that can be attained in a system is also dependent on many things other than the nature of the pumps. Multiple pumps may be connected in series, called stages, to achieve higher vacuums. The choice of seals, chamber geometry, materials, and pump-down procedures will all have an impact. Collectively, these are called vacuum technique. And sometimes, the final pressure is not the only relevant characteristic. Pumping systems differ in oil contamination, vibration, preferential pumping of certain gases, pump-down speeds, intermittent duty cycle, reliability, or tolerance to high leakage rates.

In ultra high vacuum systems, some very "odd" leakage paths and outgassing sources must be considered. The water absorption of aluminium and palladium becomes an unacceptable source of outgassing, and even the adsorptivity of hard metals such as stainless steel or titanium must be considered. Some oils and greases will boil off in extreme vacuums. The permeability of the metallic chamber walls may have to be considered, and the grain direction of the metallic flanges should be parallel to the flange face.

The lowest pressures currently achievable in laboratory are about 10-13 torr.[25] However, pressures as low as 5×10-17 torr have been indirectly measured in a 4 K cryogenic vacuum system.[26]

So, accordingly, the answer is yes, you can increase the vacuum. I am unsure of the gain equivalents but there will be a gain.

How to best store/play mp3s with home stereo quality? No home PC. I like to keep my laptop at work.?

I have loads of mp3s that I listen to on my laptop computer and mp3 player. I do not have a home PC. In order to hear the mp3s at home I need to bring my laptop back and forth from work. I want a system at home that plays and stores the mp3s but without buying another computer. I am tired of hearing the music on the little speakers that attatch to portable mp3 players. I want something with home stereo capabilities - excellent sound quality. The ideal system would store and catalogue the music and either attatch to or have built in amplifier/equalizer features and of course, have great speakers or be able to hook up to them. I do not need wireless functions. Most of them are used in tandem with a home PC anyhow - which I am trying to avoid.

Get a portable player with enough capacity to store your collection, and hook it up to your stereo through the headphone jack. The cable from Radio Shack costs $5 or so. Copy your mp3 collection to the portable, and you're done.

Drawing Tandem Fishing Rig.. Tangle Tips?

Im having trouble finding a solid diagram for setting up a tandem rig with a bobber.. including lenghts.. ive pulled ideas from other diagrams, but the diagrams are for gang-hooking a single worm.. etc..
so im going to create my own diagram, and as for the lengths and stuff,, what should i watch out for so that when i make the rig i dont end up making it so when it gets cast' it gets all tangeled!

the more (than one) you have hanging off anything you cast you will tangle it can carry the cast easy enough (without a strong side wind) but when it hits the water is when it will all l;and on top and tangle within itself. tandem rigs aren't cast they are trolled and first one and then the other is gently laid into the water with the boat moving forward

the only way it might not get all messed up would be if you used surgeon knots to make loops on the main line one above the other with the weight on the bottom and then used a swivel to connect a short leader on the bottom loop and a little longer leader on the top loop but certainly make the distance between the loops longer than both leaders.... the bobber would have to be above the top loop further than the leader would stretch as well.

Tips For Fishing Crappies and Other Pan Fish

This article has excerpts from a wonderful book written by that great fisherman Dick Sternberg, titled: Fishing With Live Bait. You will love the fishing for Crappies information in this article.

More Crappies are caught on small baitfish than on all other baits and lures combined. Yellow Perch, White Perch, Rock Bass, Warmouth, White and Yellow Bass, and some species of Sunfish will take minnows.

A variety of baitfish are routinely sold as Crappie Minnows. Fatheads and shiners are the most popular, followed by small dace and chubs. Large Crappies, Yellow Perch and White Bass will take a minnow up to 3-inches in length, but in most cases a 1 1/2 - 2-inch minnow works best. Sunfish usually ignore a minnow longer than 1-inch.

When the shallows warm in the spring, minnows move into quiet bays and sunny shorelines. The Crappies are not far behind. Most shore fishermen use bobbers and minnows, or jig-minnow combinations.

Later in summer, large Crappies move out to deeper cover. They frequently hang around mid-lake rock piles, sunken islands or submerged brush. During the day, they may suspend in deep water away from cover. Most fishermen catch them on slip-bobber rigs or tandem hook rigs fished vertically.

When fishing with minnows for other panfish, anglers often use bobber rigs, split-shot rigs or jig-minnow combinations. Some Crappie fishermen in the South use welding rod rigs in heavy brush to avoid constant snagging.

How to Make a Welding Rod Rig:

#1
Cut an 8-inch piece of welding rod.
#2
Flatten the ends and drill a hole in each end.
#3
Insert a snap at one end and a snap-swivel at the other.
#4
Use a #4 light-wire hook and 20-pound mono.
#5
Hook a small minnow through the back.
#6
Fish with a shorter rod in dense brush.
